AN AMERICAN DREAM

I asked my mom what her American Dream was. My mom's dream was for her to finish school and become something in life. Obviously that was her first dream. Things didn't come out the way she planned them. She was born here but raised in Mexico. When she came to the united states she didn't know how to speak english. She struggled in school alot but still managed to go through it. My grandpa (her father) was very strict. he didn't let her go out with her friends or go to school parties. When my mom met my father she was about 15 or 16, she decided to run away from home and go live with my dad. Soon after she got pregnant. She didnt want to get pregnant but she knew what she was getting herself into. She was 16 when she got pregnant and still kept going to school. Than she had me and still went back to school. She got beat up by some african american girls and she dropped out. After that my mom's dream was to get a good job and for her kids to get a better future than hers. She struggled alot because she had to experience 2 divorces but she still managed to keep us going. She has made many mistakes in her life and she has betrayed her children but she's sorry for all that. All she wants is a better future for all of her 3kids and she doesnt want us to end up the way she did. She isnt asking for much. Just for her childrens future to be better than hers. =d
